Farewell Party Inspiration

Our friends are moving to California.  And although we’re so sad to see them go, we’re excited for them to finally be living their ‘California dreaming’.  We wanted to throw them a little farewell party before the left.  Here’s the inspiration behind their Ciao Chi Town party.

I love the airport codes as a back drop or as a banner.  Other options could include the a map of the USA with a heart in Chicago and a heart in California, connected by a dotted line. 

Every party needs a little glitter, try a fun Bon Voyage banner or go the DIY route by stringing paper airplanes together.

Chalk accents are so popular right now.  I love the I heart Texas chalkboard photo booth props.  And how appropriate is a chalkboard globe guest book. 

Re-purposing boxes as a backdrop is so genius, this would also work great for a housewarming party, and a great use for those empty boxes.   I love those moving box wine dispensers, and such a cute play off of ‘house wines'. 

You can’t have a going away party without an invite.  Love this one’s play off of childhood sayings.

And if you're looking for a more traditional or international travel decor, these Bon Voyage cupcake toppers would be perfect, with their blue and red boarder.  And finally cookies or hard candy in a ‘goodbyes suck’ bag make great favors.

Sweet San Francisco Wedding

It's a San Francisco treat, this adorably sweet ballroom wedding. With perfect little details from the pink bow on the bride's gown, to the lush florals, delicious macaroon cake, and the par avion place cards.  I love the romance between the couple and their chic style, it's a modern day fairytale.

Stunning San Francisco Wedding

Love this intimate and classically elegant San Francisco wedding.  With a gorgeous palette of blush, ivory,black and champagne that reflected a timeless style rather than focus on the latest wedding trends.  And the black and white attire of the bridal party was flawlessly matched by the stunning Vera Wang gown the bride wore.

Romantic Malibu Wedding

This lovely Malibu wedding romanced me with all it's beautiful vintage charm.  From that stunning dress to the dapper groom and the lovely venue, there were so many breath taking details.  Love the romance of the ribbons on the place setting, mint julep cups with peonies created lovely centerpieces, a lush floral arch to be married under, beautiful vintage furniture to lounge in, and crystal chandeliers to dance the night away under.  In a word this wedding was swoon worthy.

Beautiful Hotel Bel-Air Wedding

There's nothing I love more about weddings than the adorable couple, and their complete joy on their wedding day.  These photos do so much more than just capture the magic of this timeless, Hotel Bel-Air wedding.  The Hotel Bel-Air is the perfect location of an intimate wedding, love their garden and the gorgeous chuppa. With lovely details, including handwritten notes from the bride and groom to their guests on the escort cards, a mariachi band, a cigar bar, and the glowing ambiance of their reception.

Beautiful La Jolla Wedding

Love this beautiful La Jolla beach side wedding.  With stunning blush hues, lush florals, and feminine touches, this wedding had the princess in us jumping for joy.  And having been to La Jolla, I can honestly say it makes for a breathtaking view, the perfect backdrop for any ceremony.
