Preppy and Nautical 1st Birthday Party

Love this adorable pink and blue nautical and preppy 1st birthday party.  With all the varying patterns, stripes, and textures, it's delicious eye candy.  The little party goers snacked on individually packaged "catch of the day" goldfishes, sailor sandwiches, and sailboat skewers, and  of course a dessert spread that included yogurt, cupcakes, cookies, and cake! Love everything about this adorable party, and it's adaptable for a baby shower too!

Masquerade Ball 40th Birthday

Love this fun and flirty masquerade ball themed 40th birthday bash.  From the stunning dessert table, to the black, white and pink color palette, to the masquerade masks, there are so many gorgeous details.  I am obsessed with those lovely bird topped apothecary glass jars, and the beautiful birdcage cookies.  And the dessert table featured: vanilla cupcakes, vanilla cookies, cake pops, strawberry mousse, macarons, profiteroles, and a yummy assortment of candy.

One Year Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Your wedding is an amazing day, but all too often in flies by too quickly.  All those months of planning are over in one weekend.  That's why I love this surprise wedding anniversary idea.  This bride decided to throw a surprise wedding anniversary for her husband, and she wanted to be surprised herself, so she left the details up to their wedding planner.  Their anniversary turned into a scavenger hunt, with a surprise rooftop dinner, followed by another surprise party with their friends and family.  What a great idea for any anniversary.

Mad Hatter 30th Birthday Party

Love this retro/hipster and Mad Hatter inspired 30th birthday bash, such a fun concept!!  This party had me at the confetti, or maybe it was the drink me signs, or chevron stripes, no, it was defiantly at the gold flamingos.  The bar set up is fabulous with drink stirrers, drink me signs, alcohol in those fun bottles.  And the chevron backdrop with cute accessories is to die for.  This party has so much flair and personality that there is so much to obsess over.  What a great way to celebrate your third decade.

French Garden Bebe Shower

I am literally dying over this gorgeous French Garden inspired baby shower.  Every picture elicits a 'ohhh' or an 'ahhh' or a 'fabulous' out of my mouth.  Take a look and you'll see the stunning eye candy in these pictures, I can only imagine how lovely this shower must have been in person.  This French garden party featured a feast that included sandwiches, fruits, mini appetizers, cookies, key lime pies, and so much more.  With a  drink station is perfectly garden partyesk, how cute is that drink cart.  The bistro set, scatted baskets, crates, and silver trays, create a soft, rustic, French vibe.  But let's take a second to talk about that stunning backdrop, I couldn't be more smitten by it.  Created using curated plates in beautiful pink patterns, and glass plates in pink and green, it creates a stunning visual.    The favors of potted herbs and cake pops are perfect for this theme.  And the 'create a headband' station is genius!  It's the perfect twist on the design a onsie concept, and it creates a stunning display.

Real Party: Fiesta

My friend Payal threw a fabulous taqueria inspired fiesta this past weekend.   Payal created the menu and the amazing tacos, we'll be sharing her Chipotle Sweet Potato and Black Bean Taco on rnlMusings today.  While all the guests brought the guacamole, salsas, and add-ons pot luck style.  We ended the night with the breaking of a pinata, here are the details on the DIY pinata.

On the menu:
The Salsa/Guacamole Bar: traditional and roja guacamole; Toppings: pico de gallo, mango-pineapple salsa, tomatillo salsa, pickled onion, red cabbage & zucchini slaw, onion, cilantro, & lime mix, and creamy Mexican corn; Tacos: tilapia and charred corn tacos, chipotle chicken tacos, grilled zucchini with Mexican cheese taco, & chipotle sweet potato and black bean taco.  The margarita bar consisted of grapefruit-habanero margaritas, ginger-peach margaritas, & palomas.
