Graduation time

Graduation season is almost upon us.  Or in my case it's here.  The bro-in-law just graduated from pharm school and it was the perfect excuse to make these graduation pops I saw on Bakerella.  And can I say, she's fabulous!

What you'll need:  container to display the goodies, a styrofoam  base, Reese's peanut butter cups, lollipop sticks, chocolate squares, semi sweet chocolate (acts at the glue), candy tops, and tassels.

Start by unwrapping the Reese's peanut butter cups.  If the wrapper is pulling off the chocolate,  place them in the freezer for a couple minutes and try again.   This is what they should look like.

Melt some semi sweet chocolate and dip one end of the lollipop sticks in chocolate,

insert half way into the Reese's peanut butter cups.  Let those dry.

Meanwhile create the caps by using the melted chocolate to adhere the candy button tops and tassel.  Bakerella suggest using Sweet and Sour Belts, since I couldn't find any at the store, I substituted easter basket filler as a tassel.

Once both cups and caps are dry use melted chocolate to attach them.  Ground them into a styrofoam base and you're all done.   I used a bucket and added more easter basket filler for the finished product.
