Mad Scientist

We have finally decided on our Halloween costumes for this year, we will be a family of Mad Scientists.  And I'm creating a dessert table to go with our costumes.  I was in need of some inspiration and I came across this electrifying mad scientist party.  I'm so in love with everything about this dessert table from the hanging chains, the high voltage signage, and the electronic tester.  Everything about this party screams Frankenstein's Lab.  It's the perfect backdrop for a Halloween party or in this case, a little one's birthday party!

Moroccan Nights

I love the teal greens, soft sage, and gold accents of a gorgeous Moroccan Night themed soiree. Imagine the golden ambiance or a sunset in the desert, mirrored in the twinkling lights of hanging lanterns, a billowy tented reception reminiscent of a Bedouin tribe, gilded centerpieces featuring beautiful succulents, and opulent & luxurious fabrics in the form of draping, rugs, and pillows.  Creating an exotic and vibrant backdrop for your next soiree whether that's an intimate dinner party or a wedding reception.

Emerald Green

Our homage to emerald, as Patone's color of 2013.  I think emerald green is a brilliant and show-stopping choice.  It's impeccably regal and sophisticated, and can be paired with white or gold to create a stunning effect.  From luxurious statement pieces, to an all out emerald color palette, incorporating emerald will make any soiree stand out.

Dream Big Dreams Baby Shower

I love the muted colors, sky and sunset, of this Dream Big Dreams baby shower.  It gives off a peaceful and dreamy ambiance, full of enchantment.  With hot air balloon accents,  gorgeous draping, suspended lanterns, and thoughtful herbs &  floral centerpieces, their church basement went from drab to fab.  Proving that you can have a beautiful event on a small budget, and in any venue.  Happy Thursday!

Fat Tuesday Soiree

I love the bright festive colors of Mardi Gras.  This festive Fat Tuesday celebration brings together those colors, as well as other elements of Mardi Gras, in a beautiful and not over the top way.  I love the hand dyed ombre table cloth, the fringe tassels on the bar, and the gorgeous invitations and place settings.  This looks like the perfect party to retire to after a day out on the town.  You can grab your copy of their free printables here.

Emerald Green Engagement Dinner

I just thought a change of scenery was exactly what everyone needed on this wintry/slushy Chicago morning.  I'm loving the details of this vibrant emerald green engagement inspiration dinner on the beach.   First off, how adorable are the bride and groom-to-be!  Add in the gold accents, the string lights, the fabulous bar, and those gorgeous place settings and you've got the elements for a fabulous soiree.  Happy Monday!

Moustach Bash 1st Birthday

Love this moustache bash first birthday party.  From the chevron to the blue & green color palette, to the fabulous cake,  to the wet your whiskers beverage station, and to the little bow ties and moustaches adorning everything, I'm loving all the great details.  The chalkboard sign is fabulous, love how it displays all his favorites, and is so trendy.  And how dapper and adorable is the birthday boy!

Girl Scouts Party

It's that time of year again, where you get suckered into buying multiple boxes of delicious cookies but a preteen in a green vest.  I just placed an order for thin mints, carmel delights, and shortbread cookies, in my defence my unborn child was craving them.  That's why I love this Girl Scouts themed party for making sure you don't eat all those cookies by yourself, or as a fundraising technique to sell the most boxes.  With pink and green color palette, stripped and ribbon accents, and the Girl Scout logo, this adorable party would be perfect for any Girl Scout or troop.

Green and Black Engagement Party

Today's feature is the engagement party of my brother-in-law and soon to be sister-in-law, captured by the talented Mike Fan.  We decided that, since he is a pharmacists and she is a soon to be optometrist, that we would play off their occupations in fun ways.  Thus the prescription bottle escort cards that doubled as favors filled with Jelly Bellys, and the Snellen eye chart that doubled as table numbers.  So excited for the both of them, and we can't wait to celebrate their wedding!
