Fall Harvest

Happy Monday!  Fall is officially here, but in the off chance you're enjoying an extended Indian Summer, I put together a fall harvest inspiration board, perfect for warmer fall weather.  Love the warmth of early fall colors, and the natural textures from burlap to jute to hay and linen.  Here's to Fall!

Chili Cook Off Party Inspiration

We hosted a chili cook-off this weekend, and it was a total success!  I wanted a rustic feel to our cook-off so I incorporated rustic textures and rich fall colors.  With a red plaid, burlap, and golden pumpkins we had a great backdrop for our delicious chili cook-off.  I'll be sharing our chili cook-off and the winning recipe tomorrow.  Happy Monday!

Pewter & Orange Wedding Inspiration

Pewter and orange make a great fall combination.  I love how the orange really pops against the sultry pewter.  From bridesmaids dresses to linens and paperwork, luxurious pewter is the perfect combination for bright orange accents.  Some inspiration for your autumn wedding.

A gentleman and his umbrella

With rainy fall days ahead of us, I can't help but think that some of the best captured moments at weddings in the fall involve an umbrella.  I love the gentlemanly charm of holding an umbrella over your Mrs, and how incredible that brief interlude can look when captured in black and white!

Apple Orchard Red

Nothing says Indian Summers like a trip to the apple orchard.  It's the perfect bridge between late summer and early fall.  Those crisp reds, and deep rust colors are the perfect backdrop for a romantic outdoor wedding.

Chilly Rustic Fall Wedding

We are headed to an apple orchard this weekend, and I couldn't help but think that it would make the perfect setting for an autumn wedding.  And then I stumbled upon this gorgeous wedding in 100 Layer Cake.  It has all the beautiful elements for any autumn wedding.  The draped linen, the gold accents, the lovely wild flowers, gilded mirrors, and rustic tables.  I love the contrast of the natural textures, mostly wood, against a neutral and blush color palette.  It's the perfect backdrop for a cozy and glamorous reception!

Harvest Orange

It's that time of year again, when the temperature dips, the leaves start to fall, cardigans and boots make their annual reappearance, and everything turns that wonderful shade of harvest orange.  Imagine crispy fall leaves, golden pumpkins, and rust colored flowers.  There are so many things I love about a fall color and nothing brings them together quite like harvest orange.

Colorful and Glamorous Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I can already smell the stuffing cooking and the pumpkin pie baking, and the best part of any holiday is spending it with loved ones.  That's why I love the intimate, cozy, and festive atmosphere of this Thanksgiving dinner party, it's perfect for sharing a meal with great friends and family.  From the gilded candles and lanterns, to the lush autumn floral arrangements in those adorable pumpkins, to the rustic vibe with the wood table, twigs, and newspaper on the walls, this is a holiday party we'd love to attend.

Rustic Thanksgiving Dinner

I can't believe Thanksgiving is less that 3 weeks away!  I adore how the colors of autumn are perfectly capture in this rustic outdoor Thanksgiving dinner table.  Ripe pomegranates, squash, cranberries taking center stage as either part of the centerpiece or place settings.  Beautiful, multicolored leaves flank the table, and mason jars with candles suspended from a tree branch create an inviting atmosphere.  Love how fall textures like cotton, burlap, wicker, and jute that accent the wine bottles, place settings, and chairs.  And subtle hints of gold add a little holiday flair to the meal, it's Thanksgiving perfection!

A Fall Affair

I'm obsessed with the jewel tones of this lovely fall wedding.  This is probably the 25th wedding I've seen at the Smog Shop, and this venue never ceases to amaze, and the ladies of Bash Please, don't disappoint either.   There were so many lovely and personal details in this wedding from the wall of framed photos and memories that were important to the couple, to using the bride's grandmother's china for their first meal as husband and wife.  I absolutely love the varying bridesmaid's bouquets in those plum shades.  And of course the ambiance created by hundreds of flickering candles and small centerpieces, gave the feel of a larger but intimate dinner party.

Romantic Fall Wedding Inspiration

This romantic end of summer/early fall photo shoot.  It's a simple concept that's both romantic and whimsical.  I love the soft peach and pink color pallet, the vintage touch added by the silver cutlery and gold edged plates, and the varying textures created by the poms, lace, and jute place mats.

Wedding Trends: Fall

Today I'm sharing some of the little details that I'm obsessed with for fall weddings, apples.  I love apple picking and it's one of those signs that fall is here, much like the changing leaves.  Here's a look at my favorite ways of incorporating apples as favors into your fall wedding.
