Gender Reveal

We are expecting our first baby this March.  So when it came to our gender reveal we knew we wanted to incorporate a March Madness theme.  At our 5 month ultrasound, we had our doctor circle lil' sir or lil' miss on a piece of paper, and didn't peak for 3 weeks, yes I'm very proud of us.  We incorporated the March Madness theme by having our friends and family fill out March madness style brackets to guess the baby's due date and gender.  And to help them out we used gender predicting old wives tales, which was one of my favorite DIY elements of our gender reveal.  Our friends and family even had name tags and fake mustaches to show their team lil' sir or lil' miss spirit.  The Mister and I took sides as well, I was team lil' miss and the Mister was team lil' sir.
The water bottles read: Baby Mogill-Patel {Diaper duty starts March 2013}.  Our favors were boxes filled with things I was craving: homemade chocolate chip cookies, Sour Patch kids, hot cocoa mix, and Jolly Ranchers.  My other favorite DIY project were the clothes pins that I painted either pink or blue and used as sign holders.
The dessert table was pretty minimal as most of our friends lack a sweet tooth.  We had rice krispy treats with pink or blue M&Ms, puppy chow, Teddy Grams, and cupcakes.
When it was time to find out if we were having a lil' sir or a lil' miss we had our siblings look at  the envelop with the piece of paper our doctor filled out.  They then hung the corresponding banner with a onesie (either a pink or blue basketball) that I designed, behind a wall of balloons.
And for the moment of truth... turns out team lil' miss lost, we are expecting a boy this March.  Although according to our doctor, there is a 10% chance we could end up with a baby girl.
