Cinco de Mayo Inspiration
Cinco de Mayo is this Saturday and a dessert table like the one below is the perfect way to celebrate. With an authentic Hacienda flair, this table highlights the Mexican culture's flair for sweets. Featuring an ombre cake, mini churro cupcakes, mini Mexican hot chocolate cupcakes, Mexican wedding cookies, and Jarritos or Latin sodas. The soft pastel color palette of greens, blues, and oranges really tie the whole table together. Love the blue glass platters and the lovely orange blossoms.

Cultural Wedding Trends: Sofreh Aghd
The sofreh aghd (wedding spread) is a traditional part of a Persian ceremony. Each item of the elaborate sofreh aghd, symbolizesa quality the couple plans to share as husband and wife. The mirror of fate and 2 candelabras are placed at the head of the table, representing brightness and light in the couple’s life ahead, it is also the first time the groom sees his wife's face during the ceremony. Decorated walnuts, almonds, eggs and hazelnuts represent fertility. A bowl of coins symbolize wealth and prosperity, while crystallized sugar symbolizes a sweet life together. The importance of faith is symbolized with a holy book that rests in front of the couple and a prayer rug at the center of the sofreh aghd.

Stunning Korean 1st Birthday (Dol)
I am obsessed with this beautiful Dol or Korean 1st Birthday party. With it's perfectly spring palette, and gorgeous details, the eye candy is overwhelming. Having a mom as a party planner, this lucky little girl is going to have the most beautiful parties. The inspiration for this lovely event came from the traditional Korean dress the birthday girl wore. And featured beautiful accents including: cherry blossom centerpieces, rainbow rice cakes, a stunning backdrop for the dessert table, and lush florals.
