Vintage & Rustic Rehearsal Dinner

So the BIL (brother-in-law) and soon to be sister-in-law are hosting a welcome dinner this Friday before their wedding ceremonies.  Their welcome dinner is being hosted by extended family, and they have a beautiful outdoor space, which is perfect for the couple's rustic and vintage theme.  Imagine hay bales as seating around a bonfire, old whiskey barrels as high boys or the base for a smores bar, and drinks stations with mason jars for friends and family to toast the happy couple.  With any vintage and rustic theme natural elements play a big role.  Raw wood (barrels, and directional signage); jute, burlap, and twine (as table runners, or wrapped around tins or mason jars); cotton balls (as decor); vintage glass bottles (as decor or centerpieces).  Classic treats like spiked lemonade, iced tea, smore, and pies add the vintage element, and we love the idea of relabeling beer bottles your own brand of moonshine.  Create an interactive drink station using the beer bottles as a ring toss, where guests get a chance to wine a prize (or a drink) if they get a ring around a bottle.  This is a great alternative to corn holes, and adds the element of old school traveling carnivals.  Finally, add modern conveniences like an outdoor station with cool towels, shawls, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent for guests to stay comfortable.

Bali Wedding

There are no words for this stunning Bali destination wedding.  Having been to Bali, I can honestly say it's a little bit of heaven on earth.  This wedding was beyond lovely, a beautiful multi-cultural affair, on a ceremony site constructed just for them in the middle of a river.  Let's take a second to admire the stunning ceremony dress that was made from jasmine flowers that the bride had to be sewn into.  And of course there was the beautiful Jenny Packham gown she wore for the reception, swoon!  A reception that, I might add, was held under a huge banyan tree.  Love the combination of tradition and unique flair the couple brought to their nuptials.

Romantic Malibu Wedding

This lovely Malibu wedding romanced me with all it's beautiful vintage charm.  From that stunning dress to the dapper groom and the lovely venue, there were so many breath taking details.  Love the romance of the ribbons on the place setting, mint julep cups with peonies created lovely centerpieces, a lush floral arch to be married under, beautiful vintage furniture to lounge in, and crystal chandeliers to dance the night away under.  In a word this wedding was swoon worthy.

Hawaii Destination Wedding

Today's wedding feature isn't your typical Hawaiian wedding, with sun, sand, beaches, and palm trees.  The beautiful Haiku Mill, the venue that this couple choose is a hidden gem.  With stunning botanical garden views and Old World elegance, I was completely captivated with this venue.  Love the charm and simplicity of this wedding.

Rustic & Romantic Wedding

I love this rustic Ojai garden wedding.  It's full of charm, natural elements, and beautiful scenery.  Love the succulents in the bride's bouquet and the centerpieces, and a Moroccan themed cocktail hour complete with rugs and lanterns is the perfect way for guest to relax post ceremony and enjoy the sunset.  And I love that the garden is at the bride's home and also where the couple got engaged, why not get married in a place that holds so many personal and beautiful memories!

Glitzy and Glamorous Cape Town Beach Wedding

I love this glitzy and glamorous Cape Town beach wedding.  If James Bond were to marry his lady love, I imagine it would look something like this.  With plenty of charm, elegance, and personal flair, this wedding looks like the party of the summer.  With a red carpet aisle, a pink bar, a reception under the stars, a dapper groom, and that one of a kind bridal gown, there's so much to love about this wedding.
